Celebrating the Resilience of Women Warriors Everywhere
Women Warriors Wonder Wall is a groundbreaking mission initiative dedicated to recognizing, honoring, and celebrating the extraordinary contributions of women in the armed forces and first responder communities.
Founded by Chaplain Anna Lee Eickenbrock, this initiative seeks to shine a spotlight on the courage, resilience, leadership, and sacrifice of women warriors who have served and continue to serve our nation with unwavering dedication.
Empower Her Voice
Colonel Monica R. Lawson made history as the first active-duty African American female chaplain in the U.S. Army to be promoted to the rank of colonel.
Since enlisting in 1988, her career has spanned key spiritual leadership roles, including battalion chaplain, family life chaplain, command chaplain, and deputy Pentagon chaplain. She now serves as the Chief of Recruiting and Accessions for the Army Chaplain Corps, where she actively works to diversify its ranks—particularly for women and underrepresented faith groups.
Her promotion marked not only a personal milestone but also a spiritual affirmation. “When God calls you,” she said, “He will open doors no man can close.” Col. Lawson honors the legacies of those who came before her while forging a path for future chaplains with humility and strength.
She is a voice for inclusive service, a mentor to many, and a shining example of faith-driven leadership. Her story continues to inspire those called to serve both God and country with courage and compassion.
At Women Warriors Wonder Wall, we believe in recognizing the remarkable contributions of women everywhere. Our mission is to create a vibrant community that supports and uplifts women who inspire, mentor, and lead. Join us as we honor these warriors and their impactful stories.

Led by Faith, Driven by Honor: Our Founder's Inspiration
"As a military chaplain, I've been deeply moved by the strength, sacrifice, and quiet courage of the women who serve. It was from this place of reverence and conviction that I founded Women Warriors Wonder Wall-- a space devoted to honoring and uplifting the stories of those who often go unseen. My hope is to create a lasting reminder that the bravery of women in service is not only worthy of recognition, but a source of inspiration for generations to come."
